This project provides hands-on, barrier-free gardening with and for the residents of the Riverside Foundation.
Educating boys ages 14-17 at the Depke Juvenile Detention Center in a number of garden and nature related programs. The outdoor space has been transformed to an area that includes a vegetable and butterfly garden, annual and perennial beds, a nature trail, and picnic area.
Work with the residents to plant annual and vegetable gardens and beautify the entrance to their facility.
Sponsored by the Lincolshire Police Department. Instruct children and adults how to plant annuals.
Work with schools, scouts, and community groups to encourage pollinator preservation efforts.
Educational float to promote pollinator habitat.
